Integration of Circular Economy Principles into Product Design and Implementation Possibilities in Industry
Main Article Content
Abstract
Circular economy principles are integrated into product design, ensuring efficient use of resources, waste reduction and environmental protection in the industrial sector. This approach, unlike the linear economy, prioritizes the longevity, recycling and repairability of products. For example, elements such as material selection, modularity and the use of renewable resources are added at the design stage, which reduces energy consumption in the production process. Among the application possibilities in industry, the automotive, construction and electronics sectors are at the forefront; here products are transformed into service models, for example through rental or subscription. This brings economic benefits: reduced costs, new jobs and increased global competitiveness. However, there are also challenges - the need for investment, education and legislative support. Overall, circular principles accelerate industrial transformation, ensure sustainable development and are compatible with green economy strategies in countries such as Azerbaijan.
