Abstract

The synthesis of aesthetic and functional approaches holds significant importance in modern urban planning and landscape architecture. In the formation of urban spaces, art-design elements serve not only as means of aesthetic decoration but also as tools for social and cultural communication. These elements strengthen the visual identity of the urban environment, increase the aesthetic value of the space, and positively influence people's perception of and relationship with their surroundings. Various sculptural compositions, decorative structures, landscape installations, and modern design elements applied in the design of green spaces enhance the functional and aesthetic qualities of the urban environment. These elements perform beyond mere decoration; they simultaneously encourage social interaction. Based on the research results, it has been determined that the systematic and purposeful application of art-design elements in urban space design contributes to improving the quality of the urban environment, enhancing the psychological comfort of residents, and preserving cultural identity.
